Merciless

On this path a figure travels hastily.
His aura radiates death encircled with sin.
He brings with him everything one fears.
As his lips turn upright into a sadistic grin.

Leaves retreat down the path he’s on.
Branches crackle loudly beneath his feet.
He throws his head back and laughs.
Making everything alive run and retreat.

As he arrives at his secluded destination.
He enters the cabins locked door with ease.
Inside a un-expecting soul sleeps in turmoil.
Her sobs are carried away with the breeze.

Thunder begins to erupt in the distance.
As he coolly walks to bed and sits down.
He looks at her pained expression and smirks.
Everything grows quiet nothing makes a sound.

He places his ice cold hands on her temples.
As he enters his victims relentless nightmares.
He makes her dream what she fears the most.
With no hesitation, thought, or care.

She sees a monster mauling her ruthlessly.
Yet, she can’t wake because she’s paralyzed.
She feels pain sear through her entire body.
And feels her heart slow as she silently dies.

He watches her as she takes her last breath.
He smiles with content as he gets up to leave.
He looks back at his work and thinks to himself.
She feared death and that is what she received.
