Demented

by BEJohnson   Feb 9, 2020

Spools of blood trickle down the walls
Tiny ribbons of red drizzle the ground.
Silence brought forth by hushed force
Never to breathe or make a sound.

Skies remain a deep charcoal black
Decorated by the silky essence of rain.
Trickling down the skin, sweet sensations
Cleansing the soul of all its sins and pain.

Voices haunt every corner of left sanity
Dueling all sides of both good and evil.
Breaking down the last ounce of faith
Deserted to nothing once again fetal.

Rivers of loneliness make their journey
Seeping down within each seam.
Barbered wire spikes pound heavily
Sending ripples of pain to the extreme.

Covered deep inside by bones and flesh
Lies the solitude of a demented mind.
Where silence has been perceived
Everything but happiness you will find.
