No One Stops a Dream

Would the night forbid us touching,
Forbid my hands upon your skin,
Would the stars refuse their shining,
If we kissed beneath their realm,

Would the breeze lay dormant hiding,
If I held you in my arms,
Would the moon refuse to offer,
It’s famous lighted charm.

Would the world gasp while reeling,
If we loved beneath its sky,
No, life goes on as normal,
Ignores a love hid by the night.

In truth our feelings private,
And our actions froze to time,
And so nature is not watching,
For whoever taste that wine.

Would the waves hush their lapping,
Upon the oceans sandy shores,
If we lay and kissed upon them,
Or would the ocean just ignore.

I think it’s choices that we own,
And no one cares but us,
We can free these passions hidden,
Or let them collect more dust.

Better would be to trail a kiss,
Along your naked skin,
And bond inside your heated flesh,
Where all our dreams begin.

To hear your moans mid lingering sighs,
And feel you press to me,
As muscles tighten in clutching thrust,
To then find ecstasy.

Or let a love find free will,
Inside a silent heart,
Make love inside the shadows,
And in dreams where they all start.

For if dreams are all I ever have,
And in there our love can bond,
I’ll make love to you every night,
Till reality wakes me at dawn.
