Gravity

by Lost star   Aug 15, 2020

I can sincerely say
I am helpless
in your gravity.

Laying naked in the bosom of your vernacular,
blissfully fragmenting into
velvet tones that flow
over my bones
like silk on glass.

(There are no more barriers
for you to traverse)

Autumn skin
fires my imagination
in unfathomable ways
where I watch entire galaxies
fall silent, perchance to observe
those words
leave
your
lips

I was not prepared;

undulating waves of adoration that
bathe my spirit in ethereal
charms where gentleness and
understanding prevail...

It’s hard to encompass how entirely you
enlighten this nomadic soul
that slumbered in
stone circles
restlessly awaiting
the eternal
solstice.
