The Oppressors Touch Lingers (Rhyme)

by Lost star   Aug 24, 2020

The fallen glances in her eyes,
his shadow casting into light,
the oppressors touch lingers still
memories of darkest nights.

My arms nurture when needed most
until his ghost has gone afar;
It's no cure, but I'm her rock,
here to forever kiss her scars.

Her light may sometimes dwindle
into another time and place,
and with love I will rekindle
so it may burn with all her grace.

    This made me feel uncomfortable, like there is so much hidden in the poem!

    Your writing is really familiar, but I wont ask who you are!
