A Rhyme Of Lost Knowledge

by Lost star   Sep 15, 2020

Sat in reflection
under the sycamore tree,
listening intently,
to the voice within me.

Zephyrs' sweet whispers fill my ears,
a cosmic detachment,
from all of my fears.

Within endorphin explosions,
freeing time and motion,
memories once left behind.

The ancestors legacy of mind;

Ancient rites of human kind.

And like key to lock,
the penny dropped,
where I flocked to this Gordian knot
who blissfully surrendered
a wisdom of humble self.

With the subtlety and grace
of a poet.
