Night Poem

by Violet Raven   Sep 21, 2020

Wet grass soaks ripped jeans as smoke
filters through a porch light's dimming
glow. Galaxies of stars stretch across
the skies emotional demeanor crying softly.

Crickets chirp sing-songs and fire flies wiggle
their tails to the humming ambience. A heavy
wind howls a wolf pack's tune. A loving chill runs down the spine of this night's full moon.

Crushed ash smolders on dew as pale legs
strech beneath insomnia eyes. Tranquility
springs to life when curled inside a sleeping
bag being tucked in by the night's atmosphere.
