Congratulations. I like this a lot: the formatting, the emotional story and the pleasing bookends.

    Well done.

This poem and your other latest, "gravity", stood out to me, since it is a variation from your usual style, at least that you post (which I adore the paragraph kind of format). This piece reminded me of the song by The Head and the Heart with the same title, though the song speaks of almost no regrets in expressing that love, even if it is lost. This feels a bit more heavy, especially with the implication of not being "meant to be". The loneliness and emptiness is tangible, with that last image of a honeybee, like the sweetness of their love was all you needed, then you could be content. Now, it's just a memory.

Congrats on the win, glad to see you posting again!

I appreciate that - I enjoy my paragraph style writing but I feel at times I can’t say the words I want when I’m trying to rhyme. I wrote this in pure heartbreak honestly and I wanted it to be as pure and raw as possible. I’m glad it came across like that and that it was so easy to read and interpret! I appreciate your kind words and the warm welcome this website has given me for the last 15 years. It never changes. I appreciate you reading and giving feedback!
