Waiting

by Prophecies In Kodak   Mar 5, 2021

there is something to be said
about the way you look when you're happy
the earthquake of your smile
crinkled eyes
crooked fingers too
and there is something to be said
about the unconditional manner
in which i see the good
even when it may be best
to not see you

now i am up next in the waiting room
but unsure if i am
ready to be seen by you
i've forgotten how to take care
of myself
and wish i didn't see you this way
eyes locked like a dogs jaw
my stomach at my feet
sandstone in my pockets
left here to crumble
down your lonely lane

there is something to be said
about the way life works
in a world with things like you
made of all of gods love
devils charm
still
i see my faith
in you
