Becomes me

by Teria Westerviller   Jul 4, 2021

Joy escapes me,
flirting with death
becomes me.

Jealousy reigns
Obscenity's fly
You're my hearts keeper
Even if you die,
Stolen time and
Chosen paths
Armored hearts and
Pity
Encompass
Something bigger than
Me, come to find
Everything's bigger than me.

Frightened souls
Linger here
Immortal?
Right,
Time's slipping away,
Into the sky
Nothingness encompasses
Gaining speed
While withering away
I just can't believe,
There's nothing here for me
Honestly,
Death sounds better
Every time I close my eyes,
Another dream
Threatens me
How can it be?

Beauty in the ashes,
Envy in the soul
Come carry me
On home,
Mindless
Endless
Stupid
My lover, it's the
End for me.
