What you could be

by Teria Westerviller   Jul 25, 2021

Seldom lost but never found
Searching high, plus six feet underground
Raindrops falling, the treetops glisten
Everyone can hear but no one to listen
The world so bright, large and free
Beautiful oceans as far as your eyes can see
So many people, so much they can be
I try to tell them, but no one listens to me.

In charge, in control
His temper continues to eat him whole
Lost at sea with no treasure to find...
But his heart is gold and naturally kind
Emotions stretched thin,
He needs to look deep within
Maybe then he will see,
Everything I always told him he could be.
