Applesauce.

.
i sit crosslegged on your bed
and you hold my hand
we are silent
as we often are
but i felt golden
now the silence is a shelter
from this world

i sit crosslegged on your bed
and you kiss me
or i kiss you
either way we are kissing
and laughing
and it is not silent anymore
i am flying above everything
my body is alive
and you are right by my side

i sit crosslegged on your bed
and you kiss me
or i kiss you
either way we are kissing
and crying now
tears stream from both our eyes
as if we are one body
it is silent again
my body is rigid
knowing this will be
our last moment as one

you were swimming in
golden alcohol
made you dizzy
with confidence
the softness of your skin
warmed me
so much that i forgot
not to trust you

letting you inside of me
staring at you for days
but you are brighter
than the sun
and my eyes will pay for it
heart will too

even in the most okay of times
and the happiest states of being
i will always be
uncomfortably aware
of the absence of
your hand in mine
and the silence where
your laughter should be

i sit crosslegged on your bed
and you ask me to leave
i kiss you
on your cheek
you don’t kiss me
and the airways are silent
like they’ll always be
