This flows so well that it doesn’t even feel it’s an entire alphabet. I love how raw it is, the emotion weaved into every line. It paints a wonderful picture, raises a lot of questions and really makes your heart ache.
“Sometimes I think of when we
Tangoed under moonlight
Until the stars went to bed, now
Visions are all I hold inside
When all else seems dead
X-ray my heart and all
You'll see is you”
These lines in particular hit me really hard. Reflecting on a past memory, maybe one you hold dearly, and knowing that time has moved the two of you in different directions. Yet the person still holds a permanent spot in your heart. I love it. Jealous of how effortlessly you wrote it.
Hi Kate, as always I really appreciate you taking the time to read and comment. I'm glad you liked it and I have to say your assement of it is spot on. It is interesting to see how people read and for want of a better expression absorbe a poem :)
