Family

by LoreNz0   Feb 2, 2007

Some people need luck, like drinkers need brandy.
And some just need love, like I need my family.
The people I live with, or people I know.
The ones that will hold you and not let you go.
Whenever you're feeling, sad or in trouble.
They're there to be helpful, or give you a cuddle.
Not only the people who's blood you do share,
But also the buddies who'll always be there.
The ones that will listen, or give you advice.
The ones that are special whom you can't give a price.
To me they are precious, above all other things.
Like Bodyguards, Hero's, Pharaohs or Kings.
Some people have cash, like babies have candy,
And some are in heaven, like me with my family.

Very nicely done. I like it through out and you touched on a subject that is rarely mentioned which I think is a breath of fresh air. Thanks for a great read.

Wonderful poem. It was very endearing, and so true. Nicely penned (or in this case, typed).
