A rose; so much like us human beings. No matter our struggles to thrive, we seem to fall apart anyway. A perfect way to describe us, and I like your choice of structure. It suits the topic better than an average poem. You are a beautiful Rose, my friend. I could never forget the kindness you gave me, and I wish I could have only been a better friend in return. You will always be a part of my life, and a source of my recovery from many years past. Thank you.

This poem did so much to personify the majority of the human condition. You have related so much emotion and thought using a non-corporeal object! When I need help to personify I shall ask you the master. I like that you chose to show light and dark aspects to life. Everything in life seeks balance, and it seems you have found it.
