Happy Thanksgiving

by Larry Chamberlin   Nov 25, 2010

Thanksgiving at 5 in the morning,
Rosaura leaves for her pairing;
I gather the goodies to fix
For the feast I'll be preparing.

Turkey's cooking, stuffing's on,
Made Bourbon-Bacon-Onion jam;
Portobelo gave us mushrooms;
Potatoes creamed for gravy dam.

Yams topped with cream cheese,
Acorn squash is souped, pears wined,
Bread dressing & garlic, carrots, corn;
Tomato-Pinwheel-Rolls wait to be dined.

Apple-Crumb-Caramel pie is chilling
With the cranberry sauce & glaze,
Kids still sleep, the lambs are fed;
I love these Thanksgiving Days.
