Moonlight Muses

by silvershoes   Sep 13, 2011

Maybe it's for different minds
of different flocks of feathers, but
ostentatious does
not inspire, with ellipses and hyphens
littered in the crop, any
inklings of poetic
grace.
Hark, hollow be
thy name!

Moonlight Muses, how
utterly grandiloquent... yet
something in that garish
excess of honey-drizzled words sings like
sirens, and my club is full of pirates.

This one had me smiling all the way across my face and back again. Indeed pirates we are, we just need reminding every now and then with a cutlass jab up the butt..
    Well done chick...
