Memories fade when love forgets who we once were.Beautiful!
I am going to leave a quotation that has always been in my heart.

"Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings."

    by average thoughts

Promises and dreams interlaced as one
Grew fainter in the mist of time
    Still, why does my soul
Revolve round the love, no longer mine

Precious memories that was once called
Haunts me now, every single day
    Beautiful song, once hummed together
Pains me now, in a terrible way..

    Another heartfelt write..nvr stop..prati

    >I really love how you write this poem...the first stanza give enough an appetite to the reader to go on the whole poem..I like the message and the way you used the words...here the persona mesmerizing about the dreams and their precious memories with her love one that actually withered by time..and hoping that love will be remain as like before although she knew that it is impossible to happen cuz that someone has gone away or happy with anyone else...

Precious memories that was once called
Haunts me now, every single day
    Beautiful song, once hummed together
Pains me now, in a terrible way

    >I can also relate in this part...good choice of word and well-penned!

Awaited messages of mornings and good nights
Stay saved, though they shouldn't remain
My subconscious mind, still mumbles your name
Making me realize, I won't be same again...

    >I like this part,too...very relatable...hmmm...you made me smile in this message...I still remember when those beautiful and touchy messages saved in my inbox...and about waiting the greetings when I wake up in the morning and before sleeping at night...yeah, you can't notice how you totally changed because of love..nice penned!

Those pure emotions, and the accidental fall
Were not precious little, to put in shade
Compromise, however, was sensible to make
But the memories, though painful, won't easily fade.

    >Yeah, I also agree...how much the pain you feel..still the love will reign in some place...the last line is my favorite part...I really enjoy reading this poem...very good job..keep writing more:))

Ah, well. Sometimes memories justify the pain they bring.
    Bittersweet write, Pratikshya. Much enjoyed.

Memories are sometimes hard to let go of, LM, I agree. It feels like betrayal when you do...but sometimes when you close a door, a better one opens.

Well written, hope you get past this soon,
