This is amazing, I love the use of igloo here really smart. Your tone here is sad, yet strong.
Great job Xanthe:)

You said love would hide inside
igloos, a hermit, stacking bricks
of ice to hide - an escape artist -
imprisoning himself time and again.
this is my favorite part of the poem.
Love found inside the igloo.. as a way of protecting against the hardships that one may encounter in the cold.
Though, I understood as if this someone had love but the love was taking refuge in the igloo.. He was waiting for a sun ( you) to melt the igloo and so you could get the love.. but you never love him... And he simply wanted some warmth while you found consolation in isolation... hmm.. I think I am wrong on my interpretation but the above part is my favorite.
I just love your poetry Xanthe. It is very vivid with description and you use words and phrases in every poem that I have never heard or seen before. This makes them very unique.
this peice was brilliant, your ending was really powerful. It is like all of the above.... and I never even loved you! Really jumps out at you and hits you with how it must have felt for this situation.
I really like your title choice too, it is very eye catching and fitting to the poem and also makes me think of how cold and lonely it is when we put up walls of defence, in order to protect ourselves but then in reality, no one can survive alone in the coldness of an igloo.
Another masterpiece. There is something about your poetry which is like a lesson in writing poetry when you read it.
So much imagery and detail in a few stanzas and the emotion and tone is excellent.
Real sadness is felt .
