With Love.

If I could go to the school with her every morning,
and have lunch together so she won't feel alone,
I would.

If I could be next to her all day long, so none will
ever make fun of her so she won't get bullied,
I would.

If I could stroll at the park with her every evening,
and run along together until we both get tired,
I would.

If I could watch the sunset with her every day,
and tell her how amazing she actually is,
I would.

If I could sit at the table with her during dinner,
and laugh to our jokes in any human possible way,
I would.

If I could speak to her everytime she's in tears,
and keep talking and singing until she fell asleep,
I would.

But I can't, and I never will. They said I'm nothing,
than just a dog who know nothing about human.

But I know I am the greatest companion for her,
and I know I want to be with her forever.

I just wish I could tell her that she's the greatest
and the most amazing owner I've ever had.

    This is so sweet of you to write for your friend. I love that you wrote this in the view of the dog, and how the little darling is capable of empathy, and love. This is so sweet. So much good poetry I'm reading this morning! This brought a tear to my eye.

    That was so sad. You know that the girl in this piece comes home and loves on her pet, because truly, they always love you no matter what. I love that about my dog. There's not very much animal poetry on here - and you did it very well, my lovely.

    I hope to see something like this again from you. One of your best pieces, in my opinion. If I could nominate this - I would.
