Whether this is about someone you have met, I am not sure, it may be personal to you which I have a feeling it is, but whether personal or just a fictional write, pondering on thoughts but either way, it was very powerful and emotion led, while being gentle and hopeful. That tone of ask but not begging, like you are scared to get too involved so what you be certain of what you are going into.

I think it's always hard when you've had your heart broken, to move on and trust again, to love and let yourself be loved. I can relate to this piece, as I am sure many others can.

Jenni, this piece was really strong, and there was a tone of hope in this piece...really well penned...and it made me smile when I read how you weren't trying to create a masterpiece, but penning your thoughts, as I think this was one of the best love poems I think I've read in a while.

Jenni, this is truly beautiful! I love how you express in the beginning that you won't write similes and metaphors, but stay true to your heart and say everything directly from there.

These were some of my favorite lines:

"Only now, it's dusting itself down
and returning home, whole once again.
    -Because of you."

    - I do believe hearts have a home, I think we may forget this or doubt that we have a place somewhere...but you remind me, yourself, and many others we can me made whole again. Sometimes all it takes is that one person, their faith in you...

Such a warm, loving piece filled with discovery and wanting to move forward with care to see if this is what it can be....and if your heart can rest/find peace in them. Beautiful :D

I love reading this, and thanks so much for this :)

    "And I wonder, I wonder...

If all hearts have a home, somewhere,
I wonder... if mine is with yours.
    "

Lovely repetition of the word "wonder", it creates a lovely romantic effect to the end of the statement, loved it.

"And I'm ready to find out because once again
you saved me. You saved me from myself, from my fears
    my desperation, and the countless tears shed, and now;
now you saved my heart too. You're holding it in your hands
so I ask you: Be careful with it, and let me discover

if it's home is with you.
    "
the end of the poem was pure art as well, the seek for discovery led by trust and hope .... a broken heart, torn into pieces, finally can become a whole once again, such a fragile and pure heart that needs a home that it might finally have found. Good job, and thanks again for the great poem and dedication ;)

I love the saying home is where the heart is& mostly because it is so true. There's a movie by that name, it's one of my favorites. Not exactly the same meaning but it's a wonderful movie. This is really beautiful though, you've definitely found someone who you can confide in and you want nothing more than to be where they are. It's always a good thing to surround yourself by the people you love. You'd do anything for them and go the distance just to see them, because that's where you feel at home :) Puts a smile on my face, I know the feeling so well. Lovely poem!
