Trust

by Matt Carroll   Jan 2, 2019

You always said that trust was supposed to be the foundation.
But then how can you just sit and remain silent with your frustrations?
Cut me off entirely instead of giving me a demonstration?
How am I supposed to make it right when you leave me in isolation?

I've always said it, I can't fix it if I don't know what is broken.
It's impossible to mend with all the words you've left unspoken.
After everything we've been through, is this really where you call it quits?
Years of friendship by the wayside, upon your silence it all sits.

Simple yet effective, rhyming often limits your creativity but I didnt feel that here.

    Well penned.
