Lonely as a leaf

Hey guys this was the first poem i wrote when i was of 10 yrs of age...thought i'd post it just brings back memories....

Lonely as a leaf
Had no friends
Sitting like a plant on a shelf
Waiting, waiting
For someone to come
Someone came and sat beside me
But she didn’t ask me if I wanted to play
Sad, sad, sad
I was very sad
Was about to cry but kept it in my heart
Waiting, waiting
No one came
Sad, sad, sad
I was very sad
A girl came and she asked me if I wanted to play
I said oh yes, yes, yes
So we started to play
And now that girl is my best friend
