Another fantastic poem. I just realized something. You're really religous, aren't you? lol. So sorry if I offend you by any of my poems about god. I've never really been brought up close to him, so there's a lot I don't know. Lovely poem hun!!

Well, with all of the hard things I've had to go through on my own, its sort of hard to belieeve I wasn't alone the entire time, when I know I was, when God must have seen my cry my eyes out so many times. That's why I'm not really close. What he keeps giving me, he keeps taking away.

You know, hon, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. All you can do is believe that if he brings you to it, he's gonna bring you through it. everything happens for a reason - just think, if you hadn't gone thru some of that, you wouldn't have written those poems, and i never would have met you! Just one small example of how God works miracles in strange ways... Keep your faith, girl. It's what made me stop cutting when I was younger.
    Love ya!

Aw, I didn't know you cut when you were younger! So sorry, but still if God were all mighty powerful, why would he be working in strange, mysterious ways? Why wouldn't he just visit or make himself known? And why does God let such thing as pain and danger exist, and murders of innocent people occur under his eyes? I just don't understand how a good god would allow something like that to happen.

  • 1st question :John 21:29,"...blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." and also, Isaiah 37:35," I will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of david my servant!" He was here for a long time, and people didnt belive that he was really the Savior. Why would people believe now? He has come to visit. And he wants us to trust that he was here. There are 3 kind of beleivers here on earth. the ones before Christ, during his time on earth, and us, the ones after him. They each had to beleive that he was here. And he does make himself known. look at nature, and how our bodies work, and how we ALWAYS have something to eat, and to be thankful for, even the little things should make God known.
2nd question: Psalm 1:6, "for the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish."
and psalm 3:5," I lie down and sleep; I wake again, becasue the Lord sustains me." God has kept us alive, and safe. Each night we dont have to go to bed worrying, am i going to be shot tonight? we are blessed with safety. God doesnt just let murderers of people get away, as Psalm 1:6 said. God watches over us, every day. And murders happen because of the devil. Yet people turn to God because of disasters. And if someone innocent is murdered, it was their time to leave. It wasnt an accident that they were killed. And if they believed in God, they would definately go to Heaven, and they would be happier than when they were here. Psalm 3:8a, From the Lord comes deliverance." He will take all of us when it is time. Psalm 18:5&6, 14-17
"The cords of the grave coiled around me, the snares of death confroned me. In my distress i called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came befor him, into his ears. He shot his arrows and scattered the enemies, great bolts of lightening aroused them. He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful eney, from my foes, who were to strong for me. They confronted me inthe day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support." He is always there is times of pain and trouble. He will always help us. we just have to trust that. Sorry that this is so long. I hope it helps, just a bit....

Katie, you freaking rock. I love that you are so in tune with your faith... I was just about to do the same thing for Sierra... you took the words right out of my keyboard. it's true, Sierra. God can't stop us from sinning - it's our choice. He created us perfect - it is our own sinful nature that causes all the pain in this Earth. Just because you can't see something, doesn't mean it isn't there. God's glory... the light of his perfection would blind us. God loves those who love Him and believe in Him with all their heart.

  • hehe, yeah...kinda. I had my Bible right there and it just opened up to each of the verses. Did it help at all? Sorry that it was so long to...i just had lots to say.

lol-me too, but I hate admitting I was wrong. lol.

Does this mean that I have to believe Mary was a virgin? Cuz I don't think that's possible.

Hehe...i like the end of the bible where it talks about a scarlet woman!! lol!

Hon, God can do anything. He could make a blind man see, He could part the Red Sea - he could make a virgin have a baby.
