Red, White, and Blue

by Thomas Key   Jul 17, 2005

Red,
Its the color of roses that bloom in the spring
Its the color of the blood that was shed for our cause
Its the colors of cars we drive
and half of the stripes on our flag.
Red.

White,
The color of snow that falls in the north
and the color of our newspaper and planes
Its the color of the letters we write to the troops in Iraq
Its the color of the stars and
half of the striped on our flag.
White.

Blue,
The color of our coasts in which the coast guard protects
and of the sky that the air force patrols
and the color that the Navy
and the marines see
when they storm the beaches and brave the high seas.
Its the color of the corner of our flag that surrounds our stars
Blue.

Red,
White,
Blue,
Love,
Freedom,
Sacrifice

umm...interesting poem i guess. Coming from a hick town, i guess i've heard all the red-white-and brainwashed stuff before...but anyway at least it's written well.
