Yeah, parts are funny some are sad. The mirror part was funny though. That stuck out to me. Good job to both of you!

    Gem,
You and Marcus did a wonderful job on this poem. I laughed and needed it. I love your discrption you used to discribe the way the home was going through the sadness. Wondrful job!

This is unique. It is also interesting that you have incorporated opposite extremes in this one - sadness and humor. Cute collaboration!

"And the drawers aren't as open with me anymore"

I almost NEVER vote on a poem unless I genuinely enjoy it to the point of being moved in some significant way. And I've had a crap week, have just got in, and read this as the evening's 3rd poem. And it not only made me smile, it made me laugh out loud with quite the most poignant line I've read for a while.

    Kudos to you both. :-)

    Comment #1:
I have mixed emotions on this one cause I totally love it, don't get me wrong. But I'm not sure if I should laugh b/c your talking about inanimate objects feeling pain...or if I should cry b/c you're feeling all the things you're talking about since he's been gone. But you did an exellent job, keep it up! :) You an Marcus should callaborate more! Heeehee!
