That was a wonderfully written poem , I enjoy reading poems about nice things people do for others and helping, you did a great job on this,, my favorite lines were:::

Maybe we can take a lesson from these people,
And next time we see someone a little different,
We won't stop and judge them,
Just because they aren't like us at all.
We will accept them because they are different,

The construction and style are fantastic. And it has such a deep meaning and emotion, one can really feel this upon reading it. This is simply an excellent poem.

I love your analogy here it may be a simple metaphor on the surface, but there is a deeper meaning behind this poem. Even though this poem doesn't rhyme it didn't feel like a free verse to me. There was a rythem to it that caught and held me real tight. Thank you for the exelent read.
