{Didn't anyone ever tell you...you shouldn't play games...}

Let your ridiculous lies go on for so long
Ignored all of the accusations and threats
But you should know I don't forgive that easily
And everything you've said I'll never forget

Yet now you want to pretend like everything's okay
Still adamant that you did nothing wrong
Unfortunately for you I moved on a long time ago
In your arms is no longer where I belong

What did you think, that everything would be fine?
That I'd forgive and forget, just let it go?
Sorry to burst your bubble, it happened to much
And I've let you get away with to much crap before

Amusing how I used to be wrapped around your finger
Yet now I can no longer stand to see your face
Whenever I think of everything you got away with
Leaves me with a feeling of disgust and distaste

Makes me laugh at how much it stunned you
When finally your love I was able to reject
Thought I'd let you keep playing me forever
Darling, that's not something that you will get

I Caught Myself

After everything that he did to me, thought I'd never recover
Feeling the world had ended, for I could only ever love him
Someone who made me euphoric had left me to suffer
That's how I felt until that day when you walked in

Noticing that slowly this broken heart was mending
Without warning you were taking piece by piece
Slowly putting all those shards together again
All that hurt and pain, you became it's release

I'd sworn to myself never to love again
Adamant that I was going to lock my heart away
I'd finally tired of empty days and sleepless nights
Didn't want to be that heart broken cliche

Thought I tried to resist, caught myself falling
Praying that each day I could fight my feelings
Love had become so repulsive to me again
Only now transformed into something so appealing

It's true that I caught myself hoping you felt the same
Longing to be in your embrace something that I yearned
And no words could ever possibly begin to describe
How I felt upon realizing my love was returned

Optimist
the world is yours
Flowing free

The world looks like
Twinkling stars
Little beads of light

Nothing

The kinda thing that makes you break

Optimist is happy
Look at your point of view
Birds get jealous
From the height
You are at and looking through

Optimist the world is yours
You see a brighter day
The golden threads

The Pessimist (II)

Let's take a darker lens shall we?
And cover up the light
The world is less than colours
But way more than black and white
The spectrum in between
Is pitiful and grey
How can one be happy
When night has seized your day?

The pessimist is unhappy
But dear reader you're surprised?
The world is ever darker
The twisted outlook of ones lies

Oh, how poetic does his speech progress
He twists words with such ease
As he begs his mind to stop
But it hurts him with each please

The twisted metal wreck
That is his heart car crash
The view on life now shattered too
Scattered shards of glass
On the pavement twinkle
Like blood wrought stars in the sky
That twirl around on golden ribbon
And once they snap. We Die

(A tribute to Mother Earth)

Soothing morning breeze,
twinkling crystal water
Silently vanishing as,
Carbons take over

Cancerous molecules
clawing at our sight,
mutating into greed,
unquenchable appetite

Stump disposed shade,
plastic souvenirs,
chemicallized clouds,
crying acidic tears

Asphyxiated earth
plead hope to grow,
defend endangered love
and Never let this go.

A shutter of a heartbeat
Slowly thumping in the night
Restless dreams awaken
Up in the tainted sky
Forever fates to wander
Among the moonless waste
A moment there in passing
Broke soul is now encased.

No breath to pull from heartache
No oceans lapping shores
When minds are left to wonder
Of dreams that are no more
Take hold the wreakage lying
On the heart that's left to bleed

Memories so vivid from an unforgettable past,
every word carefully spoken with tender affection,
made us dance eternally, melting like ice cubes.

I'll never let the memories fade.

Your hands like silk that laid upon my glowing skin,
delicate lips that kissed me from time and time again,
left imprints so that your presence was remembered.

injected scarlet roses into our souls as a reminder;

Scarlet were the words spilled tonight,
sublime despite my luscious perfume-
entwined scent of lilac and deliberating mistrust.

Addictive, the sound of cyan voice;
almost mythical, the way you
portray the sentences with monsters;

optimistically, I nodded.

Life must go on,
but you're not
my hero anymore.

BREATHE

This day when I wake I breathe
But it is not good breath I’m afraid
Feels empty, non-life supporting
Shallow, grey and dead

Then I realize that you are there
Beside me, part of me
Your eyes penetrate
I look at you and really see

The love, caring and passion
You say, “breathe, baby, breathe”
I smile and inhale deeply
So good when you’re with me

All it takes is you near
A moment, an hour a day
And all is suddenly clear
I can breathe, I know the way

All is well in the world
All is well in my head
All is well with you in my life
Inside, I no longer feel dead

To a new home, new town,

I caught myself staring awkwardly in a daze
Freezing the movements that were already still

I found myself blinking away at the moments
Turning to mush as if I were solid before-hand

I seen myself burning in a fiery hell
Pushing past demons as if I never knew them

You've caught me staring straight at the sun
Melting the moments that were already gone

You found me blinking in a never ending pattern
Turning the words around as if they were to hurt someone

... I caught myself this time,
falling too fast.
But it'll never happen again,
because my past is my past.
