Ohhh the deadline is on 20th May? MY BIRTHDAY! Then I'll have bonus as a gift, ha? xD just kidding!

God, there is no member in the site who hasn't yet heard of my birthday date lmao.
Okay I'll stop it. Here is my poem! ;P

    Sweet Lullabies

Since you, I and the sound of rain
    were the rise of an
emerald morning, the sky started to fall off the
    edges of a nonchalant God
to paint a haiku in our kiss.

Lonely moons; our hearts decided to
unbosom. I grew up to believe that you are a
    lyrical, queer creature-
    lost between Autumn
and the hugs of a mother who's never
    been to my daydreams.
I never harked to a lullaby, I never
even slumbered in my life without the
    sounds of you dying again.

    --

    Tada!

Saccharine, as if honey dripped from her lips,
    While her babe lay wreary from the day;
    Enunciating fictional stories of heroes,
    Entering battles, rescuing the damsel.
Tales of lore before sleep takes it course,
Lulling the young down the path of slumber.
Under the security of her blankets,
Love from a mother drifts in the air,
Like the scent from a lit candle in the night.
    Ambrosial words drift off the mother's lips;
Beauty in the words, beauty in the imagination
Insistent, eyes close, flying to the castle in the air.
Entering her dreams, she hears her mother speak.
Sacharrine, as if honey dripped from her lips.

She has always blossomed like the rose of Juliet,
waiting for the night echoes to love her once more and
endlessly approach her lips, with the sound of music.
each lullaby her children sought is here
tonight- and there is no regret when she dreams.

Losing sleep over dancing with the wind,
uttering no more than whispers to keep the
lucid touch of his name, the silk beauty none but her see.
laying across dew of dawn and memory's feel
at the mouth of sunshine- she will not let day end
by running on oily breaths like a tear stained painting.
it's never too late to call upon him and wish
eloquence to live on through him- where
she will sing and dance with her beloved, forever.

    My attempt:

    Sin painted a
    Wilting flower in your eyes,
    Echoing
    Everything you did
    To her.

Last season will never be forgotten.
    Utter all your pray'rs-
    Loudly scream;
Level your voice with the stars
    And still, you will never
Be forgiven; you will never be heard.
    I'll never hear your lullaby
Even if the sun stops rising; please, just
    Stop trying...

    Here is my attempt

    Sweet lullabies

    Sing me ethereal dreams
    Whenever I go to sleep,
    Empyrean cherubim,
    Enchant my reveries and
    Torture all immortal sins.

    Light up your celestial wings,
    Unwind the heavens on me
Let the rainbow be my soul,
    Legendary seraphim,
Armor my bare heart with love
    Before and after a fall
    Ignite my somber days with
    Empyreal hopes, but don't
    Set asunder my free will.

    Sweet Lullabies

    Drifting to sleep,
    I eagerly close my eyes,
    All thanks to my love's
    Sweet lullabies.

    The thought of my love,
His beautiful voice slipping between his lips,
    Always gives me peaceful rest,
As I see an angel behind my closed lids.

    His voice like none else,
His blonde hair and blue eyes,
    Bring me sweet rest,
    These are my sweet lullabies.

Even more than all of this,
    His love forever promised.
    Ever the sweetest lullaby,
    He is my eternal bliss.

I will let that slide but this contest involves acrostic writing style. :)

    Here is my attempt. :p

    Serenate me with your song
Whisper it quietly into my ear
    Every word my anticipation lingers
Enticing me into joining the melody
Tuning out everything except you and me

Lasting memories our melody will create
    Undescribable feelings it illuminates
Lovely notes we both desire to share
Listening to our hearts without a care
Abounding with joy the both of us are
Belief in our song will take us far
Igniting a light to our path together
Each waking moment we'll cherish forever
Such a sweet lullaby we've given to each other.

Well I have to say everyone done an amazing job. All the poems were well written. A round of applause for everyone. But unfortunately I have to choose one. The one I liked best is..... Poet on the Piano. I thought your stuck out the most with such emotion. You could really get the feeling of the title throughout the poem as you read. Great job. Will get to your poems and all for you. Thanks everyone. :)
