Dear Friend

I am very sorry to hear about your loss... This is a sad but respectful honest poem. The love and sadness is pouring from your heart it was tough to completely read through without wanting to take a step back and think on your wording. What I mean is because you never know when someone may leave us, we take things and people for granted and you struck a spark inside of me as I can relate in a way, different situation but it took me back it was strong, beautiful, sad.. Had everything a great poem needs. Love it if you would comment more of mine. Stay strong, keep your head up. 5/5

Regarding the poem, yes, it held real emotions. I felt the sadness and how much you wanted to be by your friend. Great piece.

"Dear friend there is so much I want to say
To start off I miss you so much each and everyday."

I like how this is a letter, but its actually speaking to the reader, speaking to this friend of yours. Its a good narrative piece.

"I am so sorry I did not come to say good-bye
For at your funeral I know I could not keep a dry eye."

This is honest and innocent, many would be able to relate to this, because we all know that if someone close to us dies we would really cry. And yet this makes you feel in a way guilty for not going to the funeral because you couldnt say goodbye, but it still makes you understand that you didnt go because you didnt want to say goodbye.

"Sometimes when I come in the house at night
I can smell your perfume it is like you are telling me goodnight."

This is my favorite part of the poem, this stanza is by far the best. Its amazing and sweet. Makes me think of so many things. Great job.

"I still leave my phone by my bed wishing you might call
You are in heaven how and to far away to call."

This is honest and I can truly feel the emotion here.

"So my friend I want to say thank you for all the love you shared
I want you to know that I always loved you and always cared."

This poem makes me feel hopeful, its good to know that even after losing someone close it is possible to build up and grow as a person. nonetheless, a very sad poem.
