You and me....

....Meant to be

Engraved in our high school yearbook
For all time
Nearly three years, every day
Together
The worse days of my life
Together
By far the best, forever, we spent
Together
I hold my breath when I hear
Stand Inside Your Love
I close my eyes
Hoping to stay
Stuck in this moment here with you, there
Where we were long ago
But the memory is fresh in my heart,
And there it will stay

Where are we now?

Laying in your un-broken bed, incense burning
Black curtains closed shut, a white comforter
Shielding our warm bodies from the worst to come
Naked underneath our clothes, the
Way my hair was; how sweet you smelled
Wearing a signature scent that money can't buy

My memory haunts me

You wrapped a wire around my heart and
I was yours forever
How did you forget?
When choice I was denied, insufferable
For the last time, you are everything that I
Want to last for
Ever fading time distances your fingertips from my grasp
And how we clasped so tightly,
Protected and the lovers of

Your home is here within my heart

Immutable
Impossible

Who wouldn't be the one you love?
Who wouldn't stand inside your love?

You and me....

....Meant to be
