Boy, life ain't no game to play with your rules....

by Ash   Apr 26, 2008

What relationship you wanna save?
Boy, I really ain't your slave.
You've done what you had to do,
so why you still playing me like a fool?

It ain't your life I envy or care,
just walk away, it ain't no dare.
It's just lies that spread from your words,
it's not my heart that you ever stirred.

Maybe I was a fool to think you true,
but now atleast I have some clue.
Tomorrow will be a bright new day,
and alone in life I'll forever stay.

You break one day than ask for trust,
there ain't no contract that says I must.
Just fade away on a whisper in the air,
it ain't for anyone that I now care.

People have their ways of playing tricks with our minds,
looking deeper into their actions it's emptiness one finds.
It's always a lie that breaks everything apart,
left standing confused, with no way to start.

Boy, life ain't no game to play with your rules,
not everyone can be taken and used like tools.
Boy, this ain't the ride that goes your way,
you gotta learn that you'll lose one day.

It's just your actions that contradict all else,
who'd now gonna believe that which you say?
Remember in life for everything you have to pay,
that's the way of life that never delays.

I guess what I'm saying is you showed your true face,
if only I had seen it before than revel in such disgrace.
Maybe advice to others follows a meaningless path,
store all memories and happiness locked within your heart.

Where are the days when treacheries remained at bay?
When you could mould your life so perfectly like clay.
When everyone was pleasant without this fiendish smile,
where with others you could be happy just for a little while.

Times have changed as fast as each day,
travelling along a path whereupon broken souls lay.
Fighting with each other for a sense of being.
Where is the end of this road that you seeing?

Conclusions are reached wherein confusion prevails.
It's a tormented heart that continually ails.
Seclusion or acceptance - be these the only choices of today?
Building blocks of life now crumble and sway.

Scattered upon the dunes,
trashed and brandished to melancholic tunes,
labour but life which may soon die,
no meaning left in the tears you will cry.

Boy, life ain't no game to play with your rules,
not everyone can be taken and used like tools.
Boy, this ain't the ride that goes your way,
you gotta learn that you'll lose one day.

It's very strong in emotions. So many things you've said. Well expressed. Nice flow in it. It's little long but enjoyable at the same time. Well written!
