The Darkness

by Till Death Do Us Part   Apr 29, 2008

A chill sweeps across your still body as darkness creeps from the corners and into your fragile heart Making everything seem impossible. The warm feeling of love is pushed out of every crack in your body as the darkness consumes your body, unable to react unable to fight back you sit there in silence wondering what you will become. Terrible memories since long forgotten squeeze through the cracks of the already unstable mind making everything seem even more gloomy then before. Suddenly you have this uncontrollable urge to end your life along with many others, this feeling runs deep within every vein in your body as your warm heart turns cold and eventually into dust as if it was never there. Thoughts of suicide, the longing to wear dark clothes and close yourself off to all around you is a mystery to your already unstable mind. You begin to ask yourself questions you once knew the answer to simple questions such as Who am I? Why do I feel this way? What is this feeling? questions that for some reason puzzle our complex brains. After pondering such thoughts for hours on end day after day you stick to your answer which is no answer, Feeling incomplete and still puzzled by the complexity of a rather simple question you turn to a close friend or a family member that you still choose to converse with. They answer with worry in their voice as if you were a complete stranger, but their answer was no help to you. Failing once again you feel cold, unwanted, confused, jealous, angry at the world. You ask yourself the question that can be asked a thousand times over Why? but to no avail was that. Heartless, unkind, even crazy you may consider yourself though many of us call this feeling depression. Through the darkness there is a light, there is a right turn only question is are you ready to face your fears and travel farther into the darkness to find this light? Only you can answer such a question so ask yourself if you are in this state, Am I mentally and physically ready for what the darkness brings? If you said yes prepare for a long agonizing adventure, if you said no enjoy your corner.
