To0 Late

by ShawnnaLeigh   Aug 14, 2008

The sun will start to set,
But the stars don't want to play
The moon will shine no light
And the darkness.. it will stay.
It'll rain in this world of black
You won't know where your going.
You can't even watch your step
So there's no way of knowing.
Though the puddles are shallow now
But as the rain falls they'll get deeper.
And as the world continues to turn
The hills.. they do get steaper.
You'll find your way back
To that place that's safe and warm
And yes it'll keep you dry
From the ugly blackest storm.
Try to use your other senses
To help you guide your way
If you use them carefully
I'm sure you'll find a bright day.

I really enjoyed this poem, and especially love the ending. the use of darkness in the poem is well used with the ending of a bright day, it actually made me smile. I thought hmmm it's not too late:)
One question why is all your poems under the slang poetry section?
