Athrophy

by Twisted Heart   Aug 20, 2008

Silloette faded against the dark stain
Lifeless and withered devoid of all life
Inside of a streak of a shattered pain
Misted and tattered we travel in strife

Against broken dreams shard from the heart
Into pools of death they tumble away
Faith from the soul that soon fell apart
Inside of the temples scattered and gray.

Where comes all the darts inside of the mind
Hopeless and anchored in savage release
Each word that is said inside that is blind
Forever in search of comfort and peace.

Now veiled from the faith we wilt in the sun
Blood drips from the veins of our harnessed regret
Forever in solo the heart is all done
As the mind dies and the soul soon forgets.
