Innocent's Requiem

by Twisted Heart   Sep 26, 2008

Where lays a heart, once love has died
Into the breath of wind
Take heed the soul into the night
That brings life to an end
No comfort in this house of pain
The wounds of love run deep
The heart is crushed beneath the strain
Then leaves the mind to grieve.

No shelter comes to shield the soul
No hope stands tall and straight
The faith has left you in the cold
With loss to seal your fate
As tears fall from sweet eyes of youth
Forever now will change
From innocents comes solid truth
In mind, heart, soul arranged.

Now dips the tears that fall so fair
On cheeks the truth be known
Inside the heart a single tear
Its left there all alone
To see a soul so opened wide
Wounds left to heal and scar
Now in the mind no place to hide
From what we finally are.

I always love the style that you write, it has a very unique quality to it. Your rhymes are always perfect and also the flow. hauntingly sad content,my favorite kind.
