To replace a heart

by Erika   Dec 9, 2008

Her heart tattered and torn she knew it could never be mended, but she never thought it could be replaced.

He loved her, so he gave her his heart to replace the broken and shattered one she carried.

As he cried for her pain and her heart poisoned him his words will never leave her ear.

"I give you my heart so that you may love, that's all I ask, never let the world tear you down. Live for me, and for your self, let me not die in vain."

She lived and loved until one day she met a little boy whose heart was lost in his anger and slowly tearing his soul away.

She did not know him, but she knew his pain, so she gave him her heart to replace the one he lost.

As she died from his anger and screamed for his need to be loved, her words will never leave his ear.

"I give you my heart, so you can love and know happiness, that's all I ask. Never let anger again control you, live for me and live for your self, let me not die in vain."

As her soul left her body a warm voice soothed her death.

"My death was not in vain, and neither shall yours."
