Grandpa R.I.P 7/27/07

by Bre   Mar 12, 2009

A clean shaven man
With baby blue eyes
And a bright smile
That never lies

Sits in his chair
And silently stares
As he waits for the news
To come on the air

A cup filled with ice
In one of his hands
A remote in the other
To hede his demands

Months later
He lies in a bed
And waits to hear
What the doctor has said

He smiles no more
His eyes become glass
As he waits for the rush of pain
To pass

Later yet still
He cries out in pain
And finally realizes
He'll never be the same

His family stands around him
Crying in sadness
But he is looking down on them
With pure gladness.

We love and miss you grandpa!!
