The Most Important Word

by silvershoes   Dec 23, 2009

I was looking for a word I could not find
And when I finally found it
It was right where it belonged
And nowhere but where it had always been
But I think you watched it along
Watched as it came too late
Watched me blind to your confession
To know I never knew your reasons
Warped pleasure in the cruel heartache

I was looking for a word I could not find
And when I finally found it
It was right where it belonged
But by then it was too late

Enjoyed this very much. How many times do we try to find the right word and it is there all the time but to late we see it and fail to say it. Well done.
