Spring Lullably (Not a poem, but it paints a lovely picture)

Guitar in hand she opened the door to glance out at the sun, protruding from the sky, blanketing every inch of earth that surrounded her. She stepped out letting its butterscotch rays warm her skin as she peacefully drew in a deep breath filled with fresh morning dew and sweet honeysuckles, that extended ever so abundantly around her. Frothy white clouds uncoiled across the sky in a milky pattern as she made her way towards the hammock. It hung incased between two oversized oak trees that provided a canopy of shade, cooling the earth that it concealed. Sliding off her shoes she gingerly tiptoed onto the damp sod. Each footstep filled the space between her toes with the moist grass leaving behind small imprints as she went. A colorful array of birds whispered to each other as they glided through the trees, cutting through the clouds, partaking in their daily rituals. Up and down they swooped, exploring the thicket and rolling meadows in search of food and supplies. Carpets of sweet smelling grass lined the ground mixed with an assorted spectrum of wild flowers whose succulent nectar was being harvested by many golden, plump, bumble bees. The hum of their wings as they moved to and fro barely audible, traveled through the rustle of the wind. The air was laced with a tempting aroma of lilacs and sage, intertwined together creating an irresistible scent. An array of insects murmured quietly among tall dark grass, bringing together an enticing lullaby. Turning her back to the hammock she slowly leaned backwards trusting that the knots of rope would catch her with ease. As its durable frame grasped her she was gently swung astern with her guitar by her side and came to a stop. Swinging her feet with a lively rhythm she looked about at all the wonders that encircled her. A sublime nature as it was meant to be, all living things in harmony with one another. She strummed the guitar softly, an alluring melody drifted through the air charming the quietness that lay around her. An earthy breeze tickled her ivory skin moving through her soft curls, deep sea blue eyes gleamed intensely, a calming harmony escaped her lips.
