Why wont you just let me go?

In the past we had each other in our lives
Everything we did or say we did it together
I never though we would grew apart from each other
But it happened

And after all those years of disaster
Finally you are taking the chance to love again
Strangely Im not sad about it
Im happy for you

But you are still here watching
How the words come out
And while you are ignoring me
Im trying so hard to let go

Still there is something holding me back
It feels like I cant walk away from it
Like a rope you have tighten me with
And you wont loosen it

Dont you see
You have another life now
With someone brand new
You dont need me around

So why wont you just let me go?

    Aww this is a very sad and heartfelt poem... I could relate to some parts and feel it... You've expressed yourself well.

    I do suggest you reread it and edit and correct some of the typos and grammar mistakes... It will make the poem much stronger...

    For example this:
    I never though we would grew apart from each other
    But it happened

    was meant to be this:

    "I never thought we would grow apart from each other
    But it happened"

    - Do you get what I mean?

    Great job though ! =D
