Bugs

by Crystal Rose Crahan   Feb 14, 2011

It was spring,
I didn't think it meant a thing,
But a single chatter
Made my heart pitter patter.
I knew from the start,
I didn't want to part.
You gave me butterflies,
and I was determined to not let them be flutter-bys.
Our new friendship quickly jumped into its cocoon,
For we fell in love soon.
Every day you love me,
And someday I hope you will see.
I love you with every breath I take
And I will always do what I can for your sake.
When I first admitted I love you, you were shocked.
It was only eight days after we first talked.
You admitted your feelings the next day.
It wasn't yet even May.
I'll always be happy we met,
I'll never have any regret.
So an eternal butterfly was born in April 2010,
And I'll never look the same again at any other men.
They don't bring out my good side,
Or have stayed by my side as I cried.
I'll always love everything about you.
In a short amount of time, we both grew.
You became my hunniebee,
Mine, but still always free.
I didn't want to get stung,
Instead, I'm seriously sprung.
I can't wait to someday feel your arms around me in hugs,
Hey baby, thanks for making me, again, love bugs!
