Behind These Eyes

Behind these eyes lies a heart of glass
that most will never see.
your gentle ways and kindness says, so very much to me.
as life goes by the time will pass
and only a few shall see
that Behind These Eyes a heart of glass cries
and its buried deep in me.
never before has it shown so much
its one desire is for one soft touch
and longing for what never comes
this heart of glass forever dies
as it hides Behind these eyes.
buried deep and fading out
one thing i know without a doubt
is behind these eyes is what I'm about
and Heart is what I've got.
Behind these eyes
a heart of glass cries
and even though in fading dies
behind these eyes this heart of glass tries...
and NEVER gives up

    I like the flow and rhyme of this piece. I have to admit that the image of an "heart of glass" is not really unique but you managed to write a piece that is really original and contains a lot of emotions. This poem is definately heartfelt and its feelings are powerful. I actually like the ending because regardless how fragile and weak a heart of glass may be it still has the possibility stay strong.
