The Haughty Tom

by silvershoes   Oct 18, 2011

There is a male cat (uncut),
whom some poets forget to mention, it's true,
but he is more concerned with lathering saliva
between his claws, musk-ing his coat,
yowling at windows, and
strutting down alleyways with tail raised in
a poised, fluffy hook
than trivial blemishes of feline odes that
praise his opposing gender.
