The Reason Why

When I stopped breathing my heart went numb
And the waves of my heart began to drum

You would smile at me and I would slowly break down
It was only you and me and no one else around

My once fragile life burst into dust
Having you with me was always a must

Looking back at it now you took my breath from me
The first time you kissed me was a guarantee

It sent shivers down my body and rattled my spine
You branded me and owned me with your spark of design

And when you would sleep I'd still be awake
My nerves still shook and they continued to quake

You looked like an angel sent from above
No matter how cliche; it's what we call love

Admittingly I'll say that I soon became attached
I was quick to love you, our hearts matched

It scared me to think I was starting to let go
But it had to happen now, I had to foreshow

Now, don't get me wrong and don't think I'm insane
But my life wasn't perfect even with you in my brain

I still cried a lot and kept to my habits
But with you by my side we connected like magnets

When night would take over I clung to your body
And without knowing you became my everyday hobby

We still have fights and we don't always agree
But it ends up with us making-out which we didn't foresee

Although that might happen and we do sometimes fight
I can't help but know finding you was just right

When I gave you that part of me I gave you my heart
You took it like art and gave me a jump start

And still to this day I can't comprehend
What makes you so different and why you transcend?

And why did you choose me out of so many others?
And why do you love me unlike another?

Love is unique and it can't be defined
It makes you go blind and you can lose your mind

To this point of the poem no one would guess
That we are both girls, which I will not profess

Love is an unbreakable feeling to posses
It makes you go crazy and makes you a mess

But when I'm with you you're all that I see
And I don't doubt you too can't possibly agree

So whether we be laughing, crying, or kissing
Or whether we be screaming, confused, or missing

I will always be there for you in this chemical reaction
For you make me move in this breathtaking attraction

There is nothing in this universe that can ever compare
To this love you have given me and this love we now share
