Sleeping With His Memory

I look at that empty space
On our bed where you should be
Laying there beside me
As I fall asleep.

It pains me to see you're missing
But its weird because I feel you near

I blink and realize I'm alone. But...

As I finish climbing into bed

That's my favorite part.

For right now...
They still have your scent.
It's like being wrapped in your warmth.
A small but appreciated present.

So again I close my eyes

For my loves safe return.
