The Mysterious Beast

by Adam Semanchick   May 1, 2012

Deep in the woods on the darkest of nights,
You here a scream which gives you a fright,
Thumping around as fast as can be,
So very dark you can't even see.

You go for a walk to see what's about,
While you walk you mind has it doubts,
And you get closer another scream is heard,
Not quite a man, bear, cat or bird.

Your heart starts to race the closer you get,
So freakin scared your panties get wet,
You keep moving on to your own dismay,
You wonder to yourself if you will die today.

As you get close you find a cave,
Would you go in if there was a person to Save?
What you were thinking we don't even know,
Heart beating and relentless you decided to go.

Damp and dark and so much alone,
All of a sudden you hear a moan,
The sound was behind you gone was the light,
Not so much a light ,but the light of the night.

You picked up a rock and prepared to fight,
What was this beast a creature of the night,
It moved away mighty fast out of the lair,
All you could see was alot of hair.

After a minute you pursue the beast,
Was it smart are you going to be it feast,
Outside you go and look around,
You don't say it ,but spot a footprint down on the ground.

After the print you start to chase,
So very fast you have the wind in your face,
Up in the distant a clearing you sight,
Will you get a look? You think you might.

Up on the clearing a creature you see,
It seems to be running is it trying to Flea,
Having no breathe left in your chest,
You have no choice but to take a rest.

Down at the ground you look again,
Notice the print bigger than that of men,
Could it be what you think,
