Picture Perfect

by Biancas Veil   Aug 7, 2012

Nothing left and nothing gained
My life is nothing more to you than a game

My feelings a maze you strive to butcher
cutting down my vines and structure

This maze of mine your trying to redefine
your promise of a perfect picture

I'm swept away as you strive to cull
everything that is not polished and shined

You have cleared the slate there's nothing left
no nooks no crannies or dead ends

At last you are happy with what you have
accomplished what you set out to do

'Click' and the picture is taken you hang
it on your wall and marvel at your creation

Inside me now is a different picture
empty, hollow with nothing solid like a 2D picture

It seems to me we'll never have a perfect picture
if promises are left unfulfilled.
