Shadows

by Biancas Veil   Sep 23, 2012

These shadows are like blankets,
Able to hide and to hinder visibility.

I use these shadows as my security
No one will realize I hide here
So none will get to close

Will these shadows be my prison
Like closing the coffin lid
My face hidden and dug down deep?

Down deep the shadows are all I see
How restless I can be when no one has come to find me
and I become Lonely

Now I fear i'm too deep in shadow
to see any chance of a different life
Unable to remember the touch of warming light

Im trying to break free from the ice
that has me stuck in these shadows
So I can be free of this hiding place
and walk proud and unhindered in the
Light.

Loneliness, enslaves the spirit. There's always one out there, who cares.
