Black Swan

by figurelifeout   Nov 23, 2012

The silence of the dark lake
moon illuminating the stillness of the night
suddenly a flash of black
falling towards the reflection
of the moon
the ripples filled with ruby blood
A body floating above the ripples
lips blue as though no life has been
breathed through them
A shudder from the creature floating
above the moon
Black feathers seem to appear out
of her skin
A man with a gun appears disturbing
the quiet ground of the forest
Sees the beautiful creature
turn as black as night with feathers
sparkling in the moon
He smiles steps into the ruby red lake
and his shadow is black as death
He grabs the swan
and blood tears fall from her eyes
"no one will remember this dark night
and the beautiful girl who turns into a creature as black as night"
The silence of the dark lake
a bloody moon reflecting in the ripples
A sudden stillness in the night
the darkness seems so black
without the beautiful black swan
storming the night.
